Donna R. Dishbak, Esq. graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Rhetoric and a Minor from Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Ms. Dishbak earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School where she also trained in conflict resolution.
In 2008, Ms. Dishbak was admitted to the California State Bar and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. In 2013, she was admitted to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2014, Ms. Dishbak became certified as a legal specialist in bankruptcy by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She was also selected to be a 2015 Super Lawyers Rising Star. Ms. Dishbak has extensive experience in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcies and has successfully represented her clients in highly contested bankruptcy matters through the appellate level. She defends and prosecutes adversary proceedings, including nondischargeability, preference actions and fraudulent transfer claims by trustees, representing both debtors and creditors. Ms. Dishbak also engages civil litigation pertaining to various real estate matters, including title disputes, mortgage related litigation and eviction proceedings.
Since 2003, Ms. Dishbak has been a regular volunteer with Chrysalis, a non-profit job resource center for the homeless. She is fluent in Hebrew and conversant in Spanish.
